A new LS2 Vector II Carbon has been launched, offering a full-carbon shell variant of the full-face helmet.

The LS2 Vector II Carbon’s outer shell is made 100% from LS2’s “High-Grade Wide Weave” carbon, an LS2 press release reads. The material, along with the inner multi-density EPS, allows for strong protective characteristics, while the carbon also aids in reducing the weight of the helmet.

The LS2 Vector II Carbon weighs in at 1.35kg, and also has aerodynamic features to try to optimise rider comfort by improving stability, while a chin curtain comes as standard, helping to reduce wind noise.

Aerodynamics are also, of course, a concern when it comes to ventilation. On this front, there is a two-step intake on the chin bar, and dual intakes on the forehead portion of the shell, while a singular port at the rear handles the extraction. Each of the intakes have been designed to be ergonomically suited to gloved operation, while inside the helmet the aforementioned EPS features channelling to also help with ventilation.

A 3D Optically Correct A-Class Polycarbonate visor is also present, and paired with a Pinlock Vision Anti Fog System as standard. It is also scratch- and UV-resistant, and a sun visor is also included. To help keep the visor clear, LS2 also implements a breath deflector.
