Shad Terra range of adventure panniers launched
Shad have joined the adventure fold with a range of sleek yet rugged-looking panniers and luggage
MOTORCYCLE luggage maker Shad have just launched a new range of motorcycle luggage aimed specifically at the adventure motorcyclist in the form of the Shad Terra pannier and luggage collection.
The new range of forged aluminium top boxes and panniers come in two sizes each and are fully removable with what looks like the use of just one hand – a big plus if you’ve ever tried to remove panniers while carrying a helmet too! The clever design features a small plastic tray that lines the inside of the pannier, meaning any small, loose items you stow won’t fall out every time you open the luggage. The Terra top boxes come in 37 and 48 litres, and side panniers in 35 and 37-litre combinations and all come with Shad’s double-locking system.
Pricing and specs for the new system is as yet TBC, although with Shad being the market leader in good value yet dependable motorcycle luggage systems – they are likely to be some of the best priced. Shad is also a favourite pick of the courier rider, especially in London. Pretty much every bike you see will have a Shad box, normally of considerable age, hanging off the back of their PCX125. If a box can survive that long on the mean streets of London and through our British weather, it’s alright by me.
We’ll be getting in touch with Shad soon to see about getting some luggage to fit our long-term test bike, stay tuned for a full review when we get it.
I guess my only question is, why didn't the chap in the video park closer to his mountain-top retreat?!
