BSB: Rutter lifeline for SMT Honda

LOTS OF rumours kicking around the BSB paddock at the moment that Michael Rutter is about to be announced as a new rider with the SMT Honda squad.

Apparently, Rutter, who was dropped as stand-in for Sylvain Guintoli in the Worx Crescent Suzuki squad after Knockhill (to himself be replaced by Tommy Hill) brings some much-needed money to the privateer outfit who were looking at withdrawing from the championship after the Scottish round due to a lack of funds.

The team’s other BSB rider, hugely-impressive Aussie Jason O’Halloran, may not ride for the team again this year, unless further cash can be found.
