Marc Marquez out for reminder of 2020 MotoGP season
Marc Marquez has confirmed that he will not be contesting in any of the remaining rounds of the 2020 MotoGP season
MARC MARQUEZ has confirmed that he will not be returning to MotoGP action for the remainder of the 2020 season.
The news has been confirmed by his Repsol Honda team, confirming that the injuries he sustained earlier this year are enough to prevent him from returning to the track in 2020.
Marquez has had to sit out the season, after breaking his arm in the Jerez round in July this year. He did initially try and regain fitness for the following round, although needed to undergo another operation to repair a plate in his arm after that round.

The statement on Twitter reads:
‘This season I will not compete again. After evaluating how the arm is doing with the Doctors and my team, we have decided that the best option is to return next year. It's time to continue with the recovery. Thanks for the messages of support. Looking forward to returning in 2021’
It has also been confirmed that Stefan Bradl will continue as the stand-in rider for Marquez for the final two rounds.
