Marc Marquez will not be racing in the Qatar GP | MotoGP 2021
He may have got on a motorcycle, but Marc Marquez will not be racing in either of the two MotoGP race weekends at the Losail International Circuit.
MARC MARQUEZ has confirmed that he’ll miss both Qatar races following consultation with his medical team.
This news comes soon after jumping on the RC213V-S in Barcelona and Portimao on two track days, which had everyone talking about a potential appearance at the Qatar opener in six days time.
His medical team were quoted saying that they “consider it prudent and necessary not to accelerate Marquez’s return to the track after such an inactive time, and to avoid putting the humerus at risk in intense competition.”
After the last check-up with the medical team, they have advised me not to participate in the two Qatar races so we will continue with the recovery to return to compete as soon as possible!#MM93 pic.twitter.com/vZRF1VsKzC

Missing both races weekends is disappointing for the six-time MotoGP world champ, but this will give Stefan Bradl the chance to race alongside Pol Espargaro for at least two weekends for the Repsol Honda Team, with two official tests under his belt from the start of this month.
The question now remains, however, will Marquez be back to his full racing ability on the 18th of April at the Portuguese GP in the Algarve?
