Visordown's favourite 15 new bikes from Intermot
The best new metal from Cologne
THERE'S always a richness of new metal at the Intermot motorcycle show in Cologe, Germany, and this year's event, which took place this week, was no exception.
It was a tough list to pick, but here's a countdown of our favourite 15 bikes of the show. Starting with...
15. Honda CB1100 RS
Honda's big retro bike (pictured above) gets a stunning makeover, with a seamless tank, gold-coloured trinkets and a suspension upgrade.
14. Yamaha MT-09
Our favourite three-cylinder naked bike (sorry, Triumph Street Triple) gets meaner, MT-10-alike styling plus a quick-shifter.
13. Aprilia Tuono 125
Because everyone needs a Tuono in their life, including 17-year-olds.
12. Suzuki GSX-R125
We don't remember a 125cc Suzuki looking this good since the RG.
11. Yamaha MT-10 SP
The blistering MT-10 now has R1 suspension technology, as well as its engine and frame.
10. Triumph Bonneville T100
A new entry-level Bonnie - that looks anything but entry-level.
9. Yamaha SCR950
Who knew an XV950 could be transformed into a scrambler this good-looking? Yamaha did.
8. KTM 1290 Super Adventure R
Already sublime on the road, KTM's big adventurer gets more off-road potential.
7. Kawasaki Ninja 650
Kawasaki's replacement for the ER-6f is a Ninja - with killler looks to match.
6. Kawasaki Ninja H2 Carbon
It may only be a Ninja H2 with extra carbon but it's still a Ninja H2 with extra carbon (and some new electronics).
Triumph Street Cup
A café racer is just what's been missing from Triumph's new 900cc Bonneville range. Not anymore.
Suzuki GSX-R1000
We've waited a long time for this, so we're all the more delighted at the return of the one-time daddy of the sports bike class.
Honda Fireblade SP
At last Honda has caught up with the resurgent litre sports bike class. And just look at it.
BMW R nineT Racer
We've wanted an R nineT that looked like this since the original one was launched in 2014.
Ducati Supersport S
Ducati's stunning new 'versatile sports bike', for people who want real performance and style without the bad back. Want.
