Honda has confirmed a new racing division is currently being set up as more information will be available soon, while also confirming its 2025 commitments.

After a successful 2024 British Superbike campaign, Honda Racing UK has revealed that Neil Fletcher, formerly in the role of Honda UK Head of Motorcycles, will be the team principal of the new racing division.

This includes racing in the British Superbike championship, where Honda will be looking to win the title after Tommy Bridewell narrowly missed out in 2024. It’ll also continue to race on the roads with the Isle of Man TT set to be the headline event that the Japanese manufacturer is aiming to win.

The current line-up for Honda Racing UK has just one change from last season which comes on the road racing side as Nathan Harrison is missing from the line-up. That means John McGuinness and Dean Harrison are the only two representatives on the roads this year.

Harrison will also be competing full-time in Supersport class this year, and he will have arguably the best British Supersport rider of his generation as his team-mate, as Jack Kennedy is also lined up aboard the CBR600RR.

Kennedy opted to remain on the 600RR for 2025 after having the choice of staying and defending the British Supersport Championship he won last year or moving back into the Superbike class.

In the premier class, it’s Andrew Irwin and 2024 runner-up Tommy Bridewell that will again ride the Superbike-spec CBR100RR-Rs.

A statement from Fletcher said: “Keeping in place all of the pieces that contributed to the success of last season whilst also strengthening our growing list of valued team partners was critical when preparing for this moment. Hence why it is with great excitement that we reveal our full stable of 2025 challengers in the traditional HRC colours proudly adorned with the logos of our respected sponsors.

“All of whom we welcome warmly for what promises to be an exciting season of racing ahead. There is a swelling wave of momentum about this team that continues to grow as each team member and partner pushes us forward towards our shared racing goals. That competitive spirit is right at the heart of Honda and its partners, and I very much look forward to witnessing the season unfold.”

In terms of the new racing division and how it will look in its entirety, Honda provided few details although it did confirm that the new set-up is happening.

Honda told Visordown.com: “Further information on the new Motorcycle Racing Division will be made available in due course. The primary role of the new division will be to operate and run the development team which serves to accelerate and enhance the competitiveness of all Honda’s production derived racing programmes and to manage commercial racing related interests in the region.”
