2025 Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory Kills Off Standard Model
The Tuono 660 Factory is now the only version of the bike you can buy, and it gains an updated engine for 2025
We’ve long thought the Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory is the version of the middleweight naked(ish) bike you want, and it seems its maker agrees. For 2025, it’ll be the only Tuono 660 you can buy, with the discontinuation of the entry-level bike.
The Factory has received a bunch of improvements, too, headed up by a tweaked engine. As before, the parallel twin displaces 660cc and features a 270-degree crankshaft for an offset firing order, but it now has 52mm throttle bodies to replace the 48mm parts used previously.
The result is a power figure of 103bhp, up from 94bhp. Considering the bike weighs 181kg, it’ll be plenty quick. Despite the increase in output, it’s still possible to get a 47bhp restricted version for A2 license compatibility.
To help tame the extra performance, there’s a new suspension setup comprising an Öhlins NIX 30 series upside-down fork with 43mm stanchions, and an STX 46 monoshock at the rear. Both are adjustable for rebound and compression.
The bike’s already strong package of electronics has been bolstered with the addition of launch control, joining the likes of wheelie control, cruise control, an up-and-down quick shifter, engine braking control, cornering ABS and traction control.
Also on the electronic front, there are now backlit handlebar controls plus a bigger five-inch colour screen which is optically bonded to increase brightness while reducing reflections.
The bodywork looks much the same as before, retaining the twin fairing that sets the bike apart from completely nude rivals. Aprilia does now paint the swingarm in what it curiously refers to as a “gutsy black”, though.
Pricing is yet to be revealed, but we’d expect a slight rise on the outgoing model given the much higher chassis components - our best estimate is somewhere in the £10,000 ballpark.
