AGV K1 S US Flag Stars and Stripes Motorcycle Helmet Announced
The AGV K1 S US Flag is a helmet that even President Trump would be happy to don

Italy’s most famous motorcycle helmet maker has announced a new lid for the patriots, as the K1 US Flag is announced, complete with striking stars and stripes graphics.
The new helmet may have arrived over a month after the American MotoGP round - they missed a trick there - but it nonetheless adds a touch of patriotic flair to the oft-overlooked K1 S road and track lid. Priced at $319 (£240), the new product comes in at around $90 more than a base model black or white K1 S. Adding to the appeal, though, is the addition of a track-only (in the UK) blue iridium visor included alongside the clear one - adding around $100 in value to the lid in one go.

The K1 S mimics the shape of the more track-focused (and much more expensive) Pista GP RR, which is the helmet of choice for riders like Francesco Bagnaia, Jack Miller and the VR46 team owner Valentino Rossi. Like the AGV Pista GP RR, the K1 S has a narrow, almost pointed chin bar, with a rear spoiler mounted high on the back of the helmet, which is designed to carry the airflow smoothly over the rider’s body as they sit tucked in on the bike. Unlike the Pista GP RR, which can cost more than £1,000, the K1 S is a supremely affordable helmet, backed up by ECE 22.06 and DOT certification.

The shell is made of highly resistant thermoplastic, while the front air vents also mimic the Pista GP RR and are placed to maximise the airflow into the lid. The lining of the lid is a soft comfort liner, not the high-wicking type found on dedicated track riding helmets, and the fastener is a double-d ring system.
If you’re in the USA and looking for a true, red, white and blue (and black!) helmet to make all the MAGA supporters green with envy, the AGV K1 S US Flag is avilable now on the AGV USA website. Sizes are from XS through to XXL.
