BIG Change For MotoGP 2025 Teased
MotoGP will have a new look in 2025, as a new logo is set to be revealed after the 2024 season-finale
A new MotoGP logo is on its way and Dorna has provided a teaser as the premier motorcycle racing class continues to grow in popularity.
MotoGP has been the pinnacle of two-wheel racing for decades, but in recent years the sport has grown to astonishing heights. Not wanting to miss out on the fun, Liberty Media, current owners of Formula 1, will become the MotoGP rights holder at the end of this season as it looks to take the sport on even further.
As a result of Liberty Media, who have made changes to Formula 1 in similar areas, agreeing to take over the championship, talk of a new logo began in April following a report by es.motorsport.
A new theme for MotoGP was created in 2023 by Marco Beltrami as part of a revamped identity change. And the latest sneak peek from MotoGP, which can be seen below, shows that a new logo is coming very soon, and it set to be introduced on 17 November following the new-look awards show.
MotoGP is partnering with independent design studio Pentagram, and a press release from Dorna stated: “After working with the world’s largest independent design studio, Pentagram, the most exciting sport on earth is ready to reveal a new brand identity.
“Designed to reflect our rich heritage and everything the sport wants to become, the MotoGP of tomorrow is the result of more than a year’s research across fans, riders and key people within the sport, all aimed at answering the question: what is MotoGP?”
The existing MotoGP logo has been in use since 2000 and was tweaked seven years later in 2007. At the same time as the new theme last season, MotoGP has made a conscious effort to improve the brand’s image which is a role currently undertaken by chief commercial officer Dan Rossomondo.
Before the new logo gets showcased, four more rounds of the 2024 season will take place with Jorge Martin currently leading Francesco Bagnaia by ten points in the standings.
