Despite securing a ride for the 2025 Supertwin TT races, a full-time presence at the 2025 Isle of Man TT is still in question for Dominic Herbertson after WTF Racing recently took the decision to quit its racing commitments this season.

With no teams taking Herbertson onboard as of yet, the road racer has admitted on his podcast that he will need to run his own bikes and therefore a GoFundMe page has been set up by the TT hopeful.

Aiming to raise £25,000, Herbertson appears to be well on his way to achieving that figure as 352 donations have so far been made which has resulted in a total of £17,172 being raised, as of this writing.

A statement from Herbertson said: “I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart and a lot of hope. On 1 April, 2025, I learned that my team, along with OMG Racing, had ceased all racing activity for the season, leaving me without a ride. This news came as a huge shock, especially after all the hard work and dedication I’ve put into preparing for the upcoming season. Unfortunately, no other team has offered me a seat for this year, and so I find myself facing a massive challenge. We have one month before the North West begins and another two weeks after that, before we should be leaving for the TT.

“I’ve been working tirelessly to secure the budget needed to make this season happen. But despite my efforts, I’m still far from reaching the necessary target to make it all work. To be honest, I never thought I’d have to ask for help, but at this point, I have no choice. I’m appealing to anyone who’s in a position to donate, no matter how small, to help me get on the roads this year and make this season a reality.

“The last few months have been incredibly important in preparing me for the biggest opportunities of my career - especially with the potential for success at the North West 200 and Isle of Man TT on the horizon. This is the moment I’ve worked towards for years, and I can’t let it slip away. The effort and sacrifices I’ve made have all led up to this, but right now, the journey is looking longer and harder than I ever imagined.

“If you can, please consider donating to help me get on the road this season. Your support will go directly toward race fees, equipment, travel, and everything necessary to give me the best chance to succeed. Every donation, no matter the amount, will make a world of difference and bring me one step closer to making my dream a reality.”

Part of the same race program as OMG Racing, which also ditched its plans to race in British Superbike in 2025, WTF Racing shocked the racing world last week when it confirmed it would be dropping its race team which was set to field Herbertson and James Hillier at this year’s TT.

Since the announcement of WTF Racing cancelling its plans due to "unforeseen commercial circumstances”, Herbertson has confirmed he will be taking part in the two Supertwin TT races with Melbray Racing aboard a Paton S1-R, but his participation in the Superstock, Supersport and Superbike events is still up in the air.
