BSA B65 Scrambler revealed in production-ready form
BSA reveals its second all-new new model since the storied British marque was revived in 2021 with the production-ready BSA B65 Scrambler
BSA has officially revealed the production-ready version of its all-new scrambler model, the BSA B65 Scrambler.
Making its bow at the 2024 Motorcycle Live show in Birmingham, the B65 Scrambler as it is now known first made its debut at the same event in 2022 when it was classified as a mere design study.
However, it has since evolved into a fully-fledged production model over the ensuing two years, even if the final outcome hasn’t deviated too much from BSA's original ‘concept’.
It is the first new model to come from the revived British marque - which operates under the Classic Legends arm of Indian conglomerate, Mahindra - since it launched the single-cylinder BSA Gold Star 650 in 2021.
Visually, there isn’t too much distinction from the original template with the B65 Scrambler featuring a similar stripped-back, more squat-stance interpretation of the Gold Star 650 on which it is based.
A new higher-set front fender, fresh panelling - including a retro number board displaying 65 - and more rugged detailing on the frame sets it apart from its more elegant cousin, while sister firm Yezdi lends the smaller LED headlamp up front.
Aimed squarely as a rival to the recently-launched Royal Enfield Bear 650, the B65 Scrambler will make use of the proven 652cc engine from the Gold Star, so expect around 45hp and 55Nm of torque. It does, however, come with a larger and wider 19-inch front-tyre with a 17-inch rear.
The BSA B65 Scrambler is expected to hit the road early next year with sales commencing soon afterwards.
