Buell Super Cruiser Set to Hit The Market

Buell has several new models coming to the American Motorcycle scene and one of those is its new Super Cruiser which it hopes will take the segment by storm.

Already in production and available to order is Buell’s Hammerhead 1190 Superbike and the 1190 SX model. But the Super Cruiser is next in line alongside two other models which include the Super Touring and Baja 1190 Dune Racer, which are also available to pre-order.

An American brand founded in 1983, Buell has close ties to another American brand, Harley-Davidson, who acquired 49 per cent of the company in 1993. Buell then became a wholly owned subsidiary of Harley-Davidson in 2003.

Buell’s resurgence in recent years has led to this moment as it looks to make an impact with its latest Super Cruiser bike and the company has confirmed pre-orders are now live. The incentive to make a pre-order is clear as Buell is offering a price of $23,900 (£18,200) until 12 November when the bike’s retail price will jump up to $25,900 (roughly £19,700). UK pricing and availability for this bike is not yet known.

The bike possesses a 1190cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine, which makes a whopping 175bhp, while also producing 101Ib ft of torque. The engine lives in a steel tube frame, while the chassis features 17-inch wheels front and rear and a perimeter braking system.

The bike was designed in collaboration with custom motorcycle designer, Robert Sands. All the way back in early 2023 Buell CEO Bill Melvin admitted building a Cruiser was a major aim for the American brand, and thanks to the help of Sands’s impressive custom-building skills, Buell has made its dream come true.

Speaking about the upcoming arrival of its Super Cruise Melvin said: “We are grateful for our pre-order customers. They’ve given us feedback and we are listening. We also want to give them the first opportunity to order and at a special price.”

“In the next couple of weeks, we will be announcing some amazing progress in our goal to create American jobs and move some major supply chain items back to America to support American jobs and manufacturing.”
