A high-performance subsidiary to Mercedes, AMG joined forces with Ducati in 2010 ahead of the 2011 MotoGP season which led to 743 limited edition Diavel Carbon AMG models being produced, and one of those is now set for auction on May 4.

The AMG Special Edition Diavel bikes were based on the standard Diavel model which featured a liquid-cooled V-twin 1198cc engine that produced 162bhp at 9500rpm and 94Ib ft of torque at 8000rpm.

However, the limited edition model benefited from the addition of an AMG exhaust, special wheels and seat, as well as various carbon components. This particular example that’s presented by Iconic Auctioneers has done 8,900 miles with a full service history and is number 588 out of 743.

1,000 of these limited edition bikes were initially scheduled for production, however, due to Audi's purchase of Ducati in 2012 only 743 were produced.

Each model was signed off by the engine builder and wears a numbered plaque on the fuel tank. This particular bike has been fitted with an aftermarket number plate holder but the original one will be included.

#588 has had the same owner since 2019 and is complete with all original books, a spare key, numerous receipts and MOTs. The bike is UK-registered on a current V5C with a current MOT until February 2026.

The Diavel Carbon AMG model is one of many bikes available in the Iconic Motorcycle Sale at Shuttleworth on 4 May. Full details of the location can be found on the Iconic Auctioneers website.

Another limited edition Ducati motorcycle that’s available as part of the mass-lot is an American-themed 998S Bostrom sportbike, and it is example #77 of 155.
