Dainese Lands Major Role with Pramac Yamaha Team
For the next three MotoGP seasons Dainese has become the official clothing supplier for Pramac Yamaha
Dainese, for the first time in its racing history, will become the official clothing supplier of an entire MotoGP team after landing a three-year role with none other than Pramac Yamaha.
Formerly with Ducati, Pramac made history in 2024 as it went on to claim the Riders’ title with Jorge Martin, which marked the first time in the MotoGP era that a satellite rider won the world championship.
Now, Pramac has switched across to Yamaha machinery with Jack Miller and Miguel Oliveira currently testing their new M1 prototypes in Sepang ahead of the 2025 season, which kicks off at the end of February in Buriram, Thailand.
Prima Pramac, which also features a presence in Moto2 this year as Izan Guevara and Tony Arbolino will compete for the Italian-based team, has now linked up with Dainese which is one of the leading clothing manufacturers across the entire Grand Prix paddock.
Both Arbolino and Guevara will be fully kitted out in Dainese gear for the 2025 campaign, while Miller will also be using Dainese leathers, gloves and boots as he switches back to the Italian company following a stretch with Alpinestars while competing for KTM.
The decision to welcome Dainese as its official clothing supplier for the next three seasons comes just a couple of weeks after Pramac was again in the news, for good reasons, as it joined forces with new sponsor, Alpine.
Team Director of Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP, Gino Borsoi, said: “We are incredibly excited to start this new chapter with Dainese, a brand synonymous with safety, innovation, and excellence in the motorsport world. It will mark the collaboration between a historic MotoGP brand and a team that has made MotoGP history, a combination that will allow both of us to further enhance our image and quality levels.
“As we take on the challenge of competing with Yamaha in both MotoGP and Moto2, the support and protection from Dainese will be a crucial part of our efforts on the track. This partnership not only strengthens our team‘s commitment to performance but also reflects our shared values of quality and dedication to the sport.”
