The AGV Pista GP-RR is one of the most expensive motorcycle race helmets on the market, and along with Arai and Shoei, it's the most used brand by MotoGP riders.

The helmet was made famous by who else but Valentino Rossi, and while three of the four MotoGP riders that wear the AGV Pista GP-RRs are part of his VR46 rider academy, that’s not the only reason it's seen on TV every weekend at the highest level of racing.

The retail price for nearly every AGV Pista GP-RR comes in at over £1K, however, this Glossy Carbon configuration can be found on the official Louis Moto website, and is available for over £300 less than the RRP price. The £1,194 helmet is available for just £883.

That’s still a lot of money to be shelling out on a new helmet, but Christmas is right around the corner after all. The helmet has been passed through FIM homologation giving it the highest level of protection available.

AGV's unique ESD (Extreme Safety Design) protocol means the Pista GP-RR already exceeds the requirements of the strict ECE 22.06 homologation standard.

The Pista GP-RR comes with an ultravision visor that allows for a 190-degree panoramic field of view as well as a vertical view of 85 degrees. The reason for this feature is to allow greater field of vision when on the race track and fully tucked behind the bike’s screen.

Its 360 degree Adaptive Fit system allows complete personalisation on the interior of the helmet, providing the option to select the ideal thickness in the upper part of the head, neck and cheeks.

Additional features include a clear visor with a Pinlock MaxVision anti-fog inner lens, several ventilation inlets including three on the forehead section of the helmet, two in the chin and two at the back of the helmet, a wind deflector, earplugs, hydration system, tear-off kit, ventilation covers, removable nose guard, customisation kit inner part (upper head pad, neck pad, cheek pads) and a removable rear spoiler.
