Build Train Race - Royal Enfield women-only racing program rides are presented
With the Build portion of the program complete, the 2021 Royal Enfield 'Build Train Race' ladies are prepping their machines for three MotoAmerica dates.
PRESENTING their finished custom builds for the first time on June 12th at Road America, the Royal Enfield North America ‘Build Train Race’ program is all about style and substance in equal measure, with the female-only program giving women the chance to showcase their building prowess & racing pedigree.
Given 3 months to design & build their custom Continental GT 650 machines with the help of Melissa Parish, the 7 ladies will then race them on a huge stage - three dates on the 2021 MotoAmerica calendar.
The 2021 BTR ladies, along with their racing monikers, are:
- Alyssa Bridges “The Content Guru”
- Becky Goebel “The Journalist”
- CJ Lukacs “The Teacher”
- Kayla Theisler “The Engineer”
- Michaela Trumbull “The Hairstylist”
- Scarlett Grosselanghorst “The Fashion Designer”
- Trisha Dahl “The Electrician”
You can watch their video bios here on the Royal Enfield Youtube Channel.
Melissa Parish is a mentor for the riders throughout the process, and as a renowned professional road racer with MotoAmerica & Spanish CEV experience, she’s the ideal involved throughout the design & build process and is heavily involved in the ‘Train’ portion of the challenge.
With varying degrees of racing experience, the seven riders have just completed a road racing school at Michigan’s Grattan Raceway, and are now getting ready to race at three dates of the MotoAmerica calendar.
They'll be racing at: Brainerd International Raceway in Minnesota (July 30 - August 1), Pittsburgh International Race Complex Pennsylvania (August 13 - 15), & Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama (September 17 - 19).
This is yet another example of the 650 twins motorcycles from Royal Enfield being a ridiculously good foundation for custom builders, as there are countless examples of some top customs built from an already stylish machine.
Best of luck to the riders!
