Honda Adventure Roads 2021 motorcycle tour cancelled
Honda has cancelled the 2021 Adventure Roads motorcycle event in Iceland due to ongoing travel restrictions
HONDA has confirmed that the 2021 edition of its popular Adventure Roads motorcycle touring experience has been cancelled due to travel restrictions.
While the news will be hardly surprising to many, it does mean Honda fans who were looking forward to enjoying the other-worldly landscapes of Iceland will have to wait a little longer to get there.
Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin on and off-road UK review
Previous Adventure Roads tours have taken place in Norway (2017) and South Africa (2019), with the third edition of the event up until now being scheduled to take place in June 2021. It would have seen 30 CRF1100L Africa Twin mounted riders tackle the unique volcanic landscape of Iceland.
However, with ongoing uncertainty around international travel restrictions, the decision has now been made, albeit with some bitterness, to postpone the event until 2022. The provisional dates for next year are penciled in for Friday 24th June to Monday 4th July 2022. All participants of the 2021 event will be entitled to a full refund, or to hold their place for 2022 with a small deposit.
What is Honda Adventure Roads?
Honda Adventure Roads was created to give Honda Africa Twin owners and customers the chance to enjoy riding the bike in a new environment. Participants benefit from expert HRC off-road coaching by Honda ambassadors, while onsite back-up was also provided to maintain the bikes. All food, fuel and coffee breaks are included.
