Harris...mentally strong
SHAUN HARRIS' physical and mental strength are keeping the severely injured motorcycle racer alive, according to the Kiwi star's friends and family.
The New Plymouth rider, several times a New Zealand champion, has been in a critical condition since he crashed his 1000cc Suzuki during the Isle of Man TT last week.
The doctors treating Harris also believed his mental strength and will to live were keeping him going, though he remained in a coma. His injuries included a broken right leg and arm, a broken pelvis and internal bleeding.
Harris' wife Fiona, his four-year-old daughter Petra and his 18-year-old son Bevan have flown to be with him in Nobles Hospital on the Isle of Man.
