MET Police publish compilation of moped crime 'tackle tactics'
The short clip shows riders being shunted from the stolen scooters
THE MET police has produced a compilation video of its officers tackling moped related crime.
The 39-second long video features a funky soundtrack played over short clips of moped-mounted thieves being knocked from their bikes.
'Our officers are trained to use a range of special tactics to disrupt moped enabled crime,' states the caption on the video, which the force shared on its social media channels over the last week.
While many commenters have praised the police for their proactive actions, it appears not to have gone down as well with others.
People have criticised the lack of manpower afforded to fighting the moped crime epidemic, while others have denounced the clip as a 'lie', claiming the MET wouldn't allow its officers to pursue or tackle the criminals, for fear of hurting them.
