A new motorcycle configurator has been launched by Ducati, which includes its entire 2024 roster.

The new tool means that prospective Ducati owners can hop online and head to the Ducati website to create their ideal version of any motorcycle in the 2024 range from Borgo Panigale, and to do so with a 360-degree view of the bike in 4K resolution.

This updated configurator is a product of Ducati’s position within the Volkswagen Group, since it has been developed by MHP - A Porsche Company, Porsche being owned by VW, too.

It also brings to the table something slightly more interesting for a backdrop than a progressively darker grey background. The selection of scenic backdrops includes the start-finish straight from the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello, Bologna’s Piazza Maggiore, and the island of Sardinia. Certainly, viewing your dream bike in what might be your dream riding location for that bike can make the whole configurator experience a bit more aspirational.

Ducati says that there are more than 400 of its own accessories that are available to be added in the configurator. It’s not ground-breaking stuff, really, but it’s not a bad way to waste a lunch hour, either, and daydreaming yourself into realising that “yes, I actually can afford to drop £24,000 on a Streetfighter V4 S and add all the carbon bits and racing silencer”. We all need to dream…
