Over 800 classic motorcycles up for auction at the Bonhams Summer Sale
Including a Honda RC30, Vincent Black Shadow & Mike Hailwood Replica Ducati 864, over 800 classic motorcycles to be auctioned between the 2nd & 4th of July.
BONHAMS has listed the 800 classic motorcycles online ahead of their three day ‘Summer Sale’ auction to take place at the Staffordshire County Showground between the 2nd and 4th of July.
Amongst the 800 motorcycles due to be auctioned is a Honda VFR750R RC30, a Vincent HDR 1000 Black Shadow, a Mike Hailwood Replica Ducati 864, an AJS Porcupine and (of course) a Brough Superior.
I thought they were meant to be rare? Seems like there’s always a few Brough Superiors for sale at auction!
It goes without saying that the handful listed above are some of the picks of the bunch, but outside of those, there are plenty of affordable picks for all budgets. It is a ‘summer sale’ after all.
There’s also plenty of memorabilia, classic spares and parts - and plenty of project bikes if you’ve got a space in the garage for a money pit. I’ll stick to throwing £20 notes into the corner of the garage, for now. Same thing.
Get ready to spend some money…
A few of the more ‘budget’ picks include some Honda Monkey bikes, a Yamaha TZR 250 for under a grand, plenty of aforementioned project bikes, a tasty Yamaha FZR600 listed for £1000 (with no reserve), and a Honda VFR400R NC30 listed at £1800 (again with no reserve).
Those last two are particularly head-turning for me, so maybe I shouldn’t have shared that here… Don’t want to be in a bidding war with a Visordown reader.
Classic motorcycles and Bonhams, like peas in a pod.
Anyway, grab a brew and flick through the listings on the Bonhams site, there’s plenty there to look at. You can either attend the auction or place bids online, and it’s not limited to the UK.
Don’t blame me if you end up spending a few too many thousands of pounds this coming weekend, either.
