TOM CRUISE'S motorcycle chase in the new Mission: Impossible Fallout trailer is one of the best we've seen in a long time. 

And it turns out the 56-year-old star did all his own stunts, without even a helmet or a safety rig. 

In a behind-the-scenes video shared by BMW Motorrad, Cruise revealed the choreography and guts that went into making the Arc de Triomphe scene, which writer/director Christopher McQuarrie deems "infinitely more dangerous, infinitely more challenging than the sequence in Rogue Nation"...

And it turns out the 56-year-old star did all his own stunts, without even a helmet or a safety rig.

But while the stunts may be real, it would appear than the sound of the engine is not. Eagle eared viewers have pointed out that the engine in the RnineT doesn't sound much like the boxer it's supposed to be. 

"How BMW could allow them to replace the sound of the engine?" asked one concerned fan. 

"Pity it sounds like a V4," added another, with someone else retorting: "That is the standard bike sound of Hollywood."
