Harley-Davidson’s annual bash at Fak Am See takes place in September, and this year’s event will be celebrating what Harley calls “the immeasurable contributions of designer, artist and legend Willie G. Davidson”.
Born in 1933, Willie G. is the son of former Harley-Davidson CEO William H. Davidson and the grandson of the company’s co-founder William A. Davidson. Famous family aside, Willie G. was the man behind bikes like the 1971 FX Super Glide, the 1977 FXS Low Rider, and the 1977 XLCR Cafe Racer. Later in his career with Harley, Willie G. continued to work on special projects and worked as a design and styling ambassador.
During Euro Bike Week 2024, Harley will be honouring Willie G. with a series of special events, imagery and a limited-edition apparel range. Harley will also be showing off some of the famous motorbikes Willie G influenced, in the Classic Bike Display.
Aside from the celebrations around Willie G., Euro Bike Week 2024 boasts a 40,000 square metre Harley Village and expo space showing the latest 2024 models from the Bar and Sheild brand. As you’d expect, there will also be a retail village offering official H-D apparel and merchandise along with parts and accessories.
There are also two test ride zones, one for on-road riding and one hosted by the legend that is Mick Extance, focusing on showcasing the Pan America 1250 on a specific selected off-road route. As a special treat on the off-road side, Joan Pedrero, who has brought the Pan America 1250 so much off-road racing success in recent years, will also be on hand to show what the large-capacity adventure bike can do - in the right hands!
Obviously, it’s a Harley gig, so that means nighttime entertainment on the main stage and surrounding tents, food vendors, bars, Q&As and much more to explore and experience.
Euro Bike Week is taking place from 3 - 8 September 2024. More information can be found on the official website.
