It doesn’t matter how hard manufacturers try with their new bike designs, there is always some clever company that will try and put a retro twist on a modern-day machine.

The latest to perform the feat, and very well I might add, are Holy Moly Motorcycles, a custom bike shop based in Lisbon, Portugal. They have taken the Yamaha Tenere 700 and turned it into an XT600-inspired retro off-roader, and it looks like the perfect project to keep you busy over the winter months.

There are two parts to the kit, with the first including the new LED headlight (which wires right into the existing loom), the high retro front fender, smaller LED indicators, a 3D printed mount for the dash, custom side covers (either side of the fuel tank), and decals for the side covers, headlight and front fender. The final two parts in this kit are the radiator guard and a lower front mudguard.

The second kit finishes off the back of the bike and comprises RTech rear and side plastics, and a tail tidy incorporating the the indicators, mounts, wiring adaptors, number plate holder and reflector. As with the first kit, decals are included.

The plastics come in either a white base with red highlights, light blue with yellow (our pick!), or black with yellow highlights. The team at Holy Moly reckon you can complete the kit in as little as five hours of shed time, although you are probably better off setting a day or two aside to make sure you do the job properly! You should be able to complete the look without any cutting or drilling to the existing bike, and its makers claim there are even some weight savings to be had too, which is a nice bonus!

Kit one comes in at 880 Euro (around £720) while kit two costs 1,280 Euro (around £1,050) but that is the launch price so it may go up. Should you want to find out more about the Holy Moly retro T7, head to the Instagram page and drop them a DM.
