Vircos to be rebranded Rev’It Tailortech from January onwards
After the acquisition of the Italian brand last year, Vircos will be known as Rev’It Tailortech and will provide bespoke, leather one-piece suits
The Italian motorcycle racing leather company Vircos will get a name change in 2024, as from this month onwards it will be known as Rev’It Tailortech, in a move that will see it continue to make custom leather suits for racers and trackday riders.
Vircos and Rev’It first began their collaboration back in 2007, with the two companies “solidifying” that partnership in August 2022 by merging into one company. It wasn’t clear where Vircos would sit within the Rev’It portfolio, although now it seems it will become the custom leather suit arm of the famous Dutch-founded brand.
Rev’it already has a strong presence on the world stage, and was the provider of leathers to Danilo Petrucci throughout his MotoGP career and currently supplies World Superbike champion Alvaro Bautista, and British Moto2 contender Jake Dixon with their racing suits.
Vircos was originally founded by Aldo De Agnoi as an artisan leather company in 1982, before stepping into the world of producing leather racing suits at the turn of the century. Vircos and REV’IT!’s paths first crossed when the two started working together in GPs over 15 years ago.
Breaking the news on the new Tailortech website, a press release reads:
‘REV’IT! TAILORTECH opens the door to an even wider audience. Providing fully bespoke, track-ready, leather one-piece suits for demanding sportive street riders, amateur track-riding enthusiasts, and budding pro racers alike. So that they, too, can experience the race-ready quality, tailoring craftsmanship, and the same on-point service that REV’IT! offers its professional riders in WorldSBK and MotoGP.’
