2013 Triumph Daytona 675 in full
Finished Triumph leaked
THE new 2013 Daytona 675 won't come as much of a surprise after a full year of spy photos but here it is in its entirety courtesy of the forum at www.675.cc
Presumably shot at a dealer reveal for the bike ahead of its public showing next month, the Daytona's updates match those of the new Street Triple. That means under-belly exhaust, new cast alloy subframe and revised styling allied to tweaked chassis geometry.
Engine-wise, we already know that the Daytona's power is only mildly altered, with EPA homologation documents released earlier this year showing the official output rising from 123.6bhp in 2012 to 126.3bhp in 2013. Whether the claimed power (which often differs from the lab-tested figures used on emissions documents) reflects that change has yet to be seen.
What earlier spy pictures didn't show was the additional silver stripes either side of the headlights, which are, it seems, intended to give the appearance of new lights without the actual investment into new lenses.
The fairing sides are redesigned, with larger expanses of black to make the bodywork appear skimpier, while the seat – now minus its exhausts, of course – is far slimmer than before and incorporates a new tail lamp.
We're expecting Triumph to show the bike in public for the first time at EICMA in Milan on November 15.
