Can we have the Grom-rivalling Kawasaki Z125 PRO over here please?

The Kawasaki Z125 PRO is updated for 2022 and we'd really like it to be offered on this side of the Atlantic, thank you please Kawasaki

Some motorcycles are fun, some motorcycles are practical, some motorcycles go far off-road… and then some motorcycles are just so damn cute! Unfortunately some motorcycles we want aren’t available in the UK!

One such example is the Kawasaki Z125 PRO, the Japanese firm’s answer to the Honda Grom (Honda MSX 125) which has just been updated in the United States.

While we over here in the UK get the chance to buy the Grom and also the Kawasaki Z125, the PRO version remains out of our reach, which is a shame because we would love to pitch it directly against its Honda counterpart.

If you’re familiar with the Grom then you can imagine what we have here; a diminutive commuter motorcycle that distills all of that Kawasaki DNA into a compact, revvy and eager package. It’s not quite small enough to be a ‘Monkey’ bike but it’s not far off and taller riders might find themselves stressing muscles they didn’t know existed if they rode one for a while.

For 2022 - yes, we’re into 2022 MY promotions already - the Z125 PRO gains some new colour options, golden forks, LCD instrument cluster, smart regulator and new graphics.

The entry-level model in Kawasaki’s immensely popular Z range, the Z125 PRO is priced keenly in the US where it starts at $3,299, which equates to roughly £2,500, and comes with a 125cc engine - as shared with the Z125 we do receive here - kicking out 9.4bhp at 6,000rpm.

It makes the ideal learner motorcycle for those just starting out… albeit only if you happen to live in the United States,

Come on Kawasaki, can we have this one? Pleeeeeease?
