Stunning looking retro MV Agusta Concept 921 S revealed

MV Agusta pulled the wraps off the gorgeous Concept 921 S at EICMA, a modern take on the 750 S from the mid-1970s

MV AGUSTA is famous for saving its best new bike reveals for Europe’s biggest motorcycle show. 2022 was no different, with the Varese manufacturer revealing a plethora of new models.

Probably the most eye-catching piece of new metal teased at the Milan show was the Concept 921 S, a retro homage to the brand’s famous 750 S. The bike is built around an all-new tubular steel trellis frame, aluminium subframe, and beautiful billet swingarm. Power comes from a 921cc inline four-cylinder engine, which MV is claiming produces a healthy 115hp and 85ft-lb of torque.

The chassis componentry on the 921 S comes from the best in the business, with Öhlins bringing NIX USD forks and a TTX36 rear shock to the party. The forks feature electronic adjustment of both compression and rebound damping, while the rear shock is manually adjusted. Stopping power is provided by Brembo, with Stylema four-piston calipers and 320mm floating discs.

On the technology front, there is nothing retro about the bike, as it features cornering ABS, launch control, traction control and riding modes to play with. The concept as shown is also fitted with an up-and-down quickshifter.

As the name suggests, the Concept 921 S is just that, a concept, although, with the images showing a bike that seems to be much more than simply a design exercise, we wouldn’t be surprised to see this one trickle into the MV range at some point in the future.
