Yamaha is giving away a special Tenere 700 Yamalube motorcycle as part of a contest that will run until the end of April, but it’s for French customers only.

France is no stranger to producing limited edition motorcycles as part of promotional campaigns, competitions or in BMW’s case, the return of a popular comic book series. And this Tenere 700 Yamalube is the latest creation that has left us in the UK wanting in on the action. The giveaway is part of a promotional campaign that will run until April 30.

Entering the contest is very easy, with customers simply needing to fill out a quick form on Yamaha France’s official website. Yep, that’s it.

From there, one lucky winner will be announced, and while Yamaha has not revealed how many of these bikes were made, it’s not been made available to buy.

Receiving the traditional ‘Blu Cru’ colours, the Tenere 700 Yamalube edition features a race-inspired kit with GYTR branding across the side fairing. It also gets subtle silver accents that are complemented with black to give it a stealthy, yet factory racing type of look.

Colours scheme to one side, the bike also receives GYTR serrated footpegs for extra grip when venturing off-road and it includes a blacked-out Akrapovic exhaust to add further appeal to its design.

Everything else on the bike is the same as the standard Tenere 700, meaning you get a 21-inch front wheel, long-travel suspension, and the brand’s go-to CP2 parallel-twin engine. New for 2025 with the Tenere 700 is the Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) which replaces the cable-operated system used on previous Tenere models

While fans of the Tenere 700 around the world cannot win this bike except those that live in France, it’s still nice to see what Yamaha has come up with for its French market through this initiative.

Also leaving us in awe recently was BMW France as it unveiled its limited edition R12 Julie Wood-inspired motorcycle as a nod to the returning Michel Vaillant comic book series. A recent custom build-off competition also took centre stage recently, as various French Triumph dealers began working on one-off builds that included a Scrambler 400 X, Speed Triple 1200 RS and everything in between.
