Triumph Thruxton Final Edition brings British cafe racer’s run to an end in 2024
The Triumph Thruxton Final Edition is exactly what it says on the tank: the last ever Triumph Thruxton; the British cafe racer will be no more after 2024
The Triumph Thruxton Final Edition is set to mark the end of the line for the British brand’s famous cafe racer, almost two decades after it was previously revived.
The original Triumph Thruxton was first built in 1964, and therefore the new Final Edition of the bike will mark its ancestor’s 80th anniversary.
To mark such an occasion, Triumph has decked the Thruxton Final Edition - which uses the technical base of the Triumph Thruxton RS, meaning a 105bhp, 1200cc twin-cylinder Bonneville motor - with a number of exclusive features to set this era-ending model apart.
The most obvious of these features is of course the paint, which is a metallic ‘Competition Green’ colour aimed at recognising the Thruxton’s origins as a race bike in the 1960s. The primary green is accented by gold touches on the tank and tail section, with these touches also featuring the concealed initials of the artist who hand-painted them. Also in gold is the ‘Thruxton Final Edition’ branding, and the ‘heritage’ Triumph logo on the tank; while this is all in contrast to the blacked-out side panels and mudguards.
The bike also comes with a certificate of authenticity which displays the motorcycle’s unique VIN number, and is signed by members of the Thruxton 1200 design team, as well as Triumph CEO, Nick Bloor.
Triumph has also made a bespoke cockpit fairing for the Final Edition as an accessory to complete its ‘cafe racer’ aesthetic.
The 2024 Triumph Thruxton Final Edition is set to arrive in dealers in the spring of 2024, price at £15,095. Orders can be placed now at Triumph dealers.
