Riders really are fickle creatures, we want good wet grip, dry grip, fast warm-up times, and longevity from the rubber we spend our hard-earned cash on. But then we don’t want to be just confined to the straight and narrow, as it were. Throw in a modicum of off-road ability and pretty quickly you have a melting pot of wants and needs that are pretty tricky to achieve. Well, maybe not, as Dunlop thinks its Mutant tyre is just the ticket.

It’s designed as a true crossover tyre and uses elements from sports, supermoto, and adventure motorcycle tyre design. Dunlop is claiming that the Mutant M+S rubber will provide you with the kind of handling and stability you expect from sports bike tyres, combined with the wet grip nearly on a par with racing wets. They are also being touted as featuring the kind of durability that you would normally find with a touring specific product.
