The 2025 MotoGP calendar has just been announced, and its set to feature more events than ever before, with 22 rounds scheduled to take place.

Like 2024, the season will begin with a fly-away round, although instead of Qatar opening the proceedings, Thailand and the Chang International Circuit will kick things off. The mid-season period, from April to September, will see the teams and riders commuting around Europe and riding the old guard of GP circuits. All the best tracks are present in 2024, as well as the returning venue of Brno which will be a very welcome addition to the calendar for many riders and fans.

One new venue for 2025 is Balaton Park, Hungary. The 2.5-mile venue was only recently completed and will be an interesting test for the teams and riders who will have little to no data and experience of the track. The circus will be heading to the Hungarian venue between August 22 and 24.

One event missing from the 2025 MotoGP calendar will be the Indian GP which was planned to take place at the Buddh International Circuit. The return of MotoGP to that venue has been pushed back to 2026, with Dorna and the FIM citing ‘operational circumstances’ as the reason.

Rounding out the 2025 season is the traditional showdown at Jerez, with the stunning circuit playing host to the championship between November 14 and 16.
