Bayliss' 996RS BSB winner for sale
1999 British Superbike champion Ducati 996RS for sale
TROY BAYLISS' British Superbike championship-winning Ducati 996RS from 1999 is up for sale at 60,000 euros (approx £50,000).
Bayliss, who spring-boarded on to the World Superbike stage after winning the BSB title in 1999, took the orange GSE Racing Ducati to six wins and 14 podiums during the course of the season.
GSE Racing bought the 996RS brand new directly from the Ducati factory before the 1999 season.
It continued to garner success after the 1999 season, as the exotic racer was sold to Ducati France and two championships followed in 2000 and 2001 with French rider Frédéric Protat.
It has recently been given a full overhaul and is in perfect running condition, a perfect piece of racing history. The Bayliss 996RS is currently being advertised on Classic-Motorbikes.com.
