IOM TT: Monster Energy Supersport Race 1 Results
Ian Hutchinson makes it two in a row at 2010 TT
PREVIOUS TT WINNER Ian Hutchinson made it two wins in a row, and five TT wins in total, by clinching victory in today's (Monday) Supersport event.
Hutchinson, who snatched the spoils in last week's opening Superbime event, pipped TT hotshot Guy Martin to the Supersport win. Michael Dunlop took the third spot on the podium.
Keith Amor, who was drafted into to replace an injured Steve Plater at HM plant Honda, set a new lap record of 126.90mph on the final lap.
"I love riding the 600 bikes and the whole race went smoothly. I had to slow down for a waved yellow flag on the final lap but thankfully it didn't rob me of victory," said Hutchinson.
Michael Dunlop was hugely disappointed with his third place finish.
"I'm here to win races so I'm gutted to finish third - I just didn't go hard enough on the first lap and I'll have to do better in the other races," added Dunlop.
Honda-mounted John McGuinness had to settle for seventh, with Conor Cummins, Ryan Farquhar and Cameron Donald making up the top ten.
Michael Dunlop and Guy Martin were also inside the old lap record speed on their final circuit.
