THE MECHANIC of two Irish road racers killed at road racing events this year has also been killed in a motorcycle accident.

Robert Hutchinson from Tullyhogue, died after his motorcycle collided with a van on the Barony Road between Omagh and Cookstown on Saturday afternoon, reports BBC News.

He had been a mechanic for Mark Young and Andrew Neill, who were both killied in separate racing incidents in May and July this year.

Cookstown rider Mark Young died following a crash in a race at the North West 200 in May.

Andrew Neill, from Newmills in County Tyrone, died after his motorcycle hit a tree during practice for a race at the Walderstown course in Athlone last month.
