Sepang MotoGP test times - Thursday (FINAL)

Vinales and Yamaha move to the top of the timesheets on day two of official 2019 MotoGP testing at Sepang, after a late push saw the Spaniard edge out countryman Rins (Suzuki) who in turn toppled long-time leader Dovizioso (Ducati).

Fellow Factory M1 rider Rossi began Thursday by being fastest after the opening hour, before Dovizioso and Crutchlow moved ahead of the Italian. Pramac's Miller was another late improver, for third.

Lap times had been incredibly close throughout the field, with the top 19 riders all within one-second for most of the day, until Vinales surged 0.5s clear with a time just a fraction from Jorge Lorenzo's unofficial lap record.

Lorenzo is the only 2019 race rider absent this week, due to his recent wrist injury.

Repsol Honda team-mate and reigning champion Marquez is returning from shoulder surgery in December, while LCR's Crutchlow is on track for the first time since serious ankle injuries at Phillip Island in October.

Marquez, fastest on day one, again stopped testing early (while fifth fastest) to rest his shoulder. He eventually dropped to eighth.

Crutchlow, Pol Espargaro and Miller were among today's fallers.

Testing, which took place from 10am to 6pm, concludes on Friday evening
