Michael Dunlop to take part in the Daytona 200 in March
19-time Isle of Man TT winner Michael Dunlop will compete in the Daytona 200 riding a Kawasaki ZX-6R
TT legend Michael Dunlop is swapping the narrow Isle of Man roads for the open bends of the Daytona International Raceway this March, as the 19-time Isle of Man TT winner is confirmed for the Daytona 200.
The race is slated to be taking place this March at the legendary oval, the first time the event will have run since 2019 due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Dunlop has already taken road race wins at numerous events, and for the Daytona 200 has been confirmed as riding a Kawasaki ZX-6R in the race. He’s previously performed well aboard Supersport machinery, picking up eight wins in the class at TT.
The 79th Daytona 200 is taking place on a specially constructed infield course that utilises some parts of the banked oval that makes the event such a spectacle to watch. It is scheduled to take place on March 13th with entries set to close on March 12th.
