A very rare 1998 Ducati 916 Senna MK3, built in honour of Formula One legend Ayrton Senna, is looking for a new home but it’s not cheap.

It will make a sizable dent in your wallet at £27,999, however, this is a very rare model to find on the market, especially with a recorded mileage of just 3,045. The bike has been made available by the Bike Specialists, who recently sold another example similar to this black 19938 MK3 model.

This particular special edition motorcycle has been owned by the same person since 2008 and has remained in very good condition. It’s supplied with a paddock stand, cover and an information pack containing the owner's manual and service book. It also includes a spare key, various service receipts and some old MOT's.

One of 300 1998 916 Senna MK3 units ever produced worldwide, the bike features a numbered headstock noting it as #135 in the production run.

Once the bike has been bought, The Bike Specialists claim the bike will receive a full recommissioning service including all fluids and belts as well as a fresh MOT prior to arriving at its new home.

Three versions of the Senna were produced, the MK1 in 1995, the MK2 in 1997 and the Mk3 in 1998 which was the last special edition model to commemorate Senna before Ducati unveiled a new Monster Senna edition in 2024.

Like the previous three models built to celebrate the Brazilian, the new Monster was produced in a limited series of just 341 units. The number represents the number of world titles he won (3) and the amount of race wins he achieved in Formula One (41).

Ducati donated all of the net proceeds from its three 1990s ’Senna’ models to the Instituto Ayrton Senna charity.
