Super Rare KTM Brabus 1300 R Will Cost You £40K
One of just 290 ever produced, this super rare KTM Brabus 1300 R Edition 23 could be yours for a sizable chunk of cash
The KTM Brabus forms part of the Austrian company’s stunning naked motorcycle collection, but unlike the 1390 Super Duke or 990 Duke models, getting your hands on one of these bikes is not easy.
When the 290 limited edition models were produced it came as no surprise that all of them were quickly pre-ordered.
However, The Bike Specialists in Sheffield has a very low mileage (seven miles to be exact) Brabus 1300 R available for £39,999 and this particular example is in a blacked-out colourway. When KTM produced the new Brabus 1300 R in 2023 it made 145 examples in black and 145 in grey.
When it comes to features, you won’t know where to look first as the bike has plenty of carbon detailing, as well as highlights of the collaboration with luxury mobility brand Brabus, such as branding on the seat, integrated wings as part of the fairing, the front headlight and on the exhaust.
The Brabus 1300 R comprises a monstrous 1301cc V-Twin engine that produces 180bhp and 103.2Ib ft of torque. The engine character can be adjusted by one of five riding modes, including Street, Sport, Rain, Performance and Track.
Brembo brakes can be found on both the front and rear with two Stylema Monobloc four-piston, radially mounted callipers on the front and Brembo’s twin-piston fixed calliper working on the rear disc.
Semi-active WP suspension is fitted on both the front and rear of the Brabus 1300 R, while the bike also has some very trick Monoblock Z forged wheels in platinum black which are based on the luxury brand’s fleet of ‘Second-Wow’ supercars.
KTM’s Brabus collaboration also included the 1300 ‘Masterpiece’ Edition which had an RRP of £43,990 - the 2023 1300 R Edition comes in at £36,999 new. So, taking advantage of the bike’s rarity, The Bike Specialists’s price is £3k more expensive than if you purchased the machine through KTM directly when it was still available.
