Suzuki has confirmed two new colours for its L-plate friendly naked bike, the GSX-S125, along with a price drop of £650 of the RRP until December 16.

The GSX-S125 is not alone in receiving the sizable price drop as this also applies to Suzuki’s GSX-R125. With the price drop applied, customers can now get their hands on a new GSX-S125 for £4,349, while its faired stablemate, the GSX-R125 comes in at a slightly more expensive price of £4,549.

The reduced price puts it very close to the Kawasaki Z125 which comes in at £4,299 and £4,399 depending on which colourway you choose, but it is cheaper than the Yamaha MT125 and KTM Duke 125 which costs just shy of £5K.

The GSX-R125 is a direct rival to the likes of Kawasaki’s Ninja 125cc, which was the first bike I ever owned, the Yamaha R125 and Aprilia RS125. The GSX-R125 is available in two colourways.

However, the GSX-S125 has even more options to choose from, and like the GSX-R model, it's a competitor for the likes of Yamaha’s MT125, the KTM Duke 125, Honda’s CBR125R and Kawasaki’s Z125 naked machine.

The two new colourways available from Suzuki include a stylish new black and grey livery, which rolls on black wheels, while customers looking for a more vibrant, eye-catching paint scheme can select a black and red version with red wheels. The classic white and blue colourway is also available from Suzuki.

The Suzuki GSX-S125’s engine consists of a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC (Double Over Head Cam), has aluminium wheels and includes Bosch 10 ABS which is claimed to be the lightest two-channel ABS system on the market.
