Toprak Razgatlioglu Surpasses Carl Fogarty WorldSBK Win Tally
Toprak Razgatlioglu has surpassed WorldSBK legend Carl Fogarty on the all-time winners list

While talk of his future in WorldSBK remains a big talking point, reigning world champion Toprak Razgatlioglu claimed his first wins of the 2025 season with a stunning hat-trick at Portimao.
The Turkish star’s first hat-trick of the season means he’s closed the gap to Nicolo Bulega who pushed the BMW rider all the way in all three races, while it also moved Razgatlioglu, who continues to flirt with moving to MotoGP, ahead of four-time WorldSBK champion Carl Fogarty on the most wins list.
Prior to last weekend’s races Razgatlioglu’s name came up in rumours regarding a switch to MotoGP with Honda, which he dismissed, to a degree, before joking that Yamaha would be an option if he goes to the Grand Prix paddock.
Then, Razgatlioglu went on to beat Bulega in the first of three races by less than a tenth, before the shockingly small victory margin got even smaller in the ten-lap Superpole Race on Sunday, beating the Ducati rider by 0.055 seconds.
A red flag in the final race of the weekend wasn’t enough to stop Razgatlioglu from yet another hat-trick, something he made look easy in 2024, however, the performance aboard his M1000 RR had not been quite as strong at the start of this season.
Razgatlioglu’s victory in the short race on Sunday morning was his 59th which put him level with Fogarty, before going on to claim win number 60 in the championship during race two.
Speaking after the weekend’s races Razgatlioglu was in fighting spirits, telling WorldSBK.com: “For me, I love fighting. I will never give up. The bike isn’t 100 per cent but I’m only pushing for the win. Race 1 for me was a hard race because I lost the front a few times, I just tried to follow him and then win the race.
“In Sunday’s two races, the pace was incredible. We improved the bike and I felt more grip, but turning was the same. I’m just fighting for the wins, and everyone enjoyed it. After Phillip Island, we are coming back very strongly and showing everyone we’re here.”
