It’s not the scooter collab with Ferrari that we were hoping for just yet, but Ultraviolette has indeed presented an all-new electric scooter to its range with the Tesseract, while also welcoming the new Shockwave off-road model.

If you’ve been keeping up to date, Ultraviolette is said to be working on an electric scooter with automotive giant Ferrari, but while we wait with excitement to see what that might look like, we do have a new scooter from the Indian firm to run our eyes over.

The Tesseract, which is believed to take its inspiration from military helicopters with the bodywork design, is India’s first two-wheeler to feature front and rear cameras with radar assistance, which immediately puts it in contention with the most technologically advanced scooters on the market.

The Tesseract model comes with multiple power options including a base model that features 13.4bhp and a 3.5kWh battery. It’s claimed to offer a range of 162 kilometres (around 100 miles). Higher-spec models include a 20bhp motor that’s either mated to a 5kWh battery for a range of 220 kilometres (138 miles) or a 6kWh battery that stretches the range to 261 kilometers (163 miles).

The new electric scooter rides on 14-inch wheels while the suspension set-up comprises telescopic forks up front and twin shocks at the rear. The scooter has already proved very popular with 20,000 pre-bookings made in just the first two days of availability.

It also gets a dual LED-projector headlamp with floating DRLs and a large TFT touchscreen display that delivers connectivity suite and ride analytics. It also receives keyless access, park assist, hill hold, cruise control, navigation, music control, and more.

Then there’s the Shockwave off-road dirt bike which is a first of its kind in Ultraviolette’s range. Featuring an aggressive and agile styling, the electric enduro bike produces 14.5bhp and is paired with a 4kWh battery, and as a result can churn out a claimed 165 kilometers (around 100 miles) of range.

The bike uses a 19-inch wheel at the front and a 17-inch rear, while the Shockwave model also comes with dual-purpose block-pattern tyres. It also comes standard with spoked wheels and an optional pillion seat with footpeg mounting solutions.
