Marc Marquez makes his official factory Ducati debut as he wears the historic red colours for the first time

When exiting his garage for his first run, it came as no surprise that cameras flooded the pit lane to get a shot of Marquez, who was wearing his number #93 on the bike and large across his chest.
Marquez was not alone in making his debut aboard new machinery, as 2024 world champion Jorge Martin jumped aboard the Aprilia RS-GP for the first time, alongside new team-mate Marco Bezzecchi.
After a brilliant rookie season for GasGas Tech 3 KTM, Pedro Acosta was in the Austrian brand’s factory blue and orange colours, while Bastianini and Maverick Vinales also debuted on the RC16.
Somkiat Chantra was seen riding the RC213V LCR Honda for the first time but his opening foray on a MotoGP bike didn’t end how he would have wanted as he suffered a crash.
Ai Ogura (Trackhouse Racing Aprilia), Jack Miller, Miguel Oliveira (Pramac Yamaha) and Aleix Espargaro in his new role as official Honda test rider, all ventured out on their new bikes for the first time.
Francesco Bagnaia won the 2024 finale as well as the sprint race but ended the season second best to Martin, who won the title by just ten points from the Italian.
