2025 MV Agusta F3 Competizione is the New Supersport Kid on the Block
MV Agusta is not resting on its laurels as it's taking its Supersport collection to new heights with a special limited edition F3 Competizione model

Yielding a stunning black livery with gold accents, the F3 Competizione is based on the F3 RR from both a technical and stylistic point of view, however, it’s very much got its own identity.
“Extreme attention to detail, combined with components and materials aimed at pure performance, come together in the F3 Competizione” is what MV Agusta says about its new supersport motorcycle which it confirmed will not be the new homologated motorcycle for the WorldSSP championship for two reasons.
The first surrounds the carbon wheels which are not permitted for racing in the world championship, while the second reason is because of the limited examples made, which falls under the number of bikes produced to homologate a race bike.
Over 500 units must be produced for racing at the time of its first racing year but MV Agusta has only created 300 F3 Competizione examples in total.
What sets the F3 Competizione and F3 RR apart the most is the chassis as the RR in both its standard road form and race kit uses Marzocchi upside-down suspension, but the new F3 Competizione has been refined thanks to a collaboration with Ohlins. The fork comprises a renowned NIX30 upside-down set-up with 43mm TiN-coated stanchions.
The Ohlins suspension is fully adjustable in all hydraulic (compression and rebound) and
mechanical (spring preload) settings, with both adjusters located at the top of the fork, which allows the rider to fine-tune the setup for both road and track riding. The input from Ohlins doesn’t stop there as this mouth-watering motorcycle also features a TTX 36 shock absorber, featuring dual-tube technology and an external piggyback reservoir.
This addition to the bike means enhanced rear suspension performance, which operates on the aluminium single-sided swingarm. Completing the Ohlins package is the 19-position adjustable steering damper. The new F3 Competizione is one kilogram lighter than the F3 RR from its Ohlins package alone.
Another three kilos are shaved off thanks to the bike’s carbon fibre wheels which have been designed and built specifically for the 300 F3 Competizione units. It reduces the unsprung mass compared to the aluminium wheels on the F3 RR.
Next up, the F3 Competizione’s 3-cylinder engine, equipped with titanium valves produces 160bhp - five more than the F3 RR. The overall weight reduction from the engine is a whopping 14 kilos compared to the RR version, leading to a 0.9 power-to-weight ratio improvement.
The Brembo braking system includes 320mm diameter front discs with floating calipers paired with Brembo Stylema monobloc radial-mount calipers. The rear brake features a 220mm diameter disc.
Four riding modes are available with the new F3 Competizione model which are Rain, Sport, Race and Custom. Traction control has eight settings - two for Rain, three for Track riding and three for the road. As you would expect, launch control comes standard on the bike which can be paired with the FLC (Front Lift Control) system.
A dedicated race kit is included and it comes with a full Akrapovic titanium exhaust system, carbon fibre exhaust cover, CNC-machined fuel cap, a lightweight fibreglass seat cover and a dedicated bike cover.
Pricing for the bike is estimated to be 34,000 Euros (roughly £28,000).
