BMW Unveils New F900 R and F800 GS Models, But Only in France
BMW Motorrad is offering further F900 models to its line-up, as well as the F800 GS Touring Edition, but only in France

At the end of last year newly-updated BMW F900 and F900 XR models were announced, and now an extension to those family members has been added but in France only, as a new F900 R ‘Shifter Edition’ has been joined by the F800 GS Touring Edition.
While the new F900 R and XR models are expected to land in dealers across Europe, including the UK, French customers are getting the choice of three new models as well as reduced prices.
Mechanically the new F900 R and XR models landing in France are the same as the updated versions confirmed late in 2025, meaning the 895cc parallel twin engine, boasting 105bhp, remains the same.
Adding to the latest Euro5+ certification, the new engine also features a ‘Dynamic’ riding mode which specifically relates to the traction control of the bike.
So how is the Shifter Edition different? Well, it really isn’t very different at all. Instead it comes with a three-year warranty and a Shifter Pro, which is a jazzed up way of saying a quickshifter. Instead of its usual €9,500 (roughly £7,975) asking price, BMW France is offering the Shifter Edition at a discounted price of €8,500 (£7,135).

Then there’s the F900 XR model which gets everything that the standard model coming to the rest of Europe gets, but comes in a different Racing Red Uni colour alongside its three-year warranty.
The do-it-all bike out of the three, the F800 GS Touring Edition, features a Lightwhite Uni colourway, and yes, you guessed it, a three-year warranty on top. It is also equipped with case supports and the Touring Pack which includes heated grips, hand protectors and PRO high beam lights.
