CVO Road Glide ST Becomes H-D’s Most Powerful Production Bike
A gentle warning to all of you eager to get your hands on the new 2025 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide ST model, it’s not going to come cheap…
Harley-Davidson’s big 2025 model reveal has arrived and so has the CVO Road Glide ST as part of the American company’s fresh line-up, and in doing so receives the most powerful engine ever produced in a Harley production bike.
The 1197cc Milwaukee-Eight 121 H.O. engine (meaning High Output), like the bike itself, takes its inspiration from the Screamin’ Eagle Factory Team Road Glides that compete in the King of the Baggers championship.
The Road Glide ST delivers 126bhp at 5020rpm and 142.3Ib ft of torque. The 121ci (1982cc) engine features a new increased rev limit of 5,900rpm which has helped it to make the numbers on the dyno. Joining the peak power is a stump-pulling 145ft lb of torque which arrives at just 4,000rpm.
Suspension aboard the 2025 model consists of Showa which includes dual 41mm front forks with adjustable preload, compression damping and rebound damping. The rear set-up, again provided by Showa, features an emulsion suspension system that also provides adjustable preload, compression damping and rebound damping. As is the way with Harley, the limit is your wallet, and more high-spec optional systems will be there should you want a more track-focused ride.
The bike’s braking system includes a 320mm disc, acted on by four-piston radially mounted front callipers, while a single-piston works at the rear. The Road Glide ST rolls on Dunlop tyres with a 130/60B19 M/C 61H dimension at the front and 180/55B18 M/C 80H on the rear.
Looking at the tech-specs for the new 2025 Road Glide ST, customers are treated to a 312mm dual TFT ‘Skyline’ dashboard which displays gauges, and eight different riding modes including Track and Track+, while also giving easy access to Harley’s own Rockford Fosgate Stage II audio system. The headlamp, tail light and signals are all LED.
The new CVO (Custom Vehicle Operation) Road Glide ST is one of three new models to land within the CVO line-up that has been around for 26 years, as joining the £41,495 ST are the standard Road Glide and Street Glide bikes. The Road Glide ST comes in three different colourways, including Rally Red, Mercury Silver, and tri-color Hot Lap.
