Say hello to the new Harley-Davidson Pan America ST, which gives off the same but different vibes compared to the more adventurous standard Pan Am and CVO Pan America, which is highlighted in the specifications of the 2025 model.

While the CVO Pan America is built to conquer challenging off-road terrain as is the Pan Am, the new ST model is effectively a mirrored version of those bikes but with some minor changes to make it more effective on the road, plus it’s cheaper than the CVO by some margin.

The CVO Pan America is no slouch on the road either, but the ST model has gone sporty with its modifications, starting with MIchelin’s Scorcher Sport tyres which feature 180/55R17 dimensions for the rear and 120/70R17 on the front. The sport tyre range replaces the 170/60R17 and 120/70R19 dual-purpose Michelin Scorcher Adventure rubber that was fitted to the St’s Pan America siblings.

Like the adventure-built Pan Am, the ST focuses on giving riders the very best wind protection, upright riding position and all the electronic gadgets as before, however, the aim has been to keep all that while improving the handling and stability on tarmac.

The 2025 ST model has also been given new cast aluminium rims made specifically for this bike. With the idea to build a road-focused variant of the Pan America, the ST gets shorter travel both front and rear with that in mind, alongside a smaller front wheel that lowers the centre of gravity.

Showa 47mm forks comprise the front suspension set-up, while sitting pretty at the rear is a Showa balance free monoshock. Both Showa components include electronically adjustable preload and manually adjustable compression and rebound damping.

As with the suspension, the braking system has been taken very good care of as Brembo Monobloc four-piston callipers surround a pair of 320mm discs. The rear features a single-piston calliper gripping a 280mm disc.

The engine used is the same as other Pan America models, meaning the 2025 ST gets the 1252cc liquid-cooled 60-degree V-twin power unit and it is believed to churn out 149bhp at 8750rpm and 91lb ft of torque at 6750rpm.

The new ST model is slightly more expensive than the standard Pan America model, but cheaper than the Pan America Special and CVO models. The 2025 Pan America ST costs £16,995.
