IOM Police warn of company selling fake camping packages for TT

THE ISLE OF MAN Police force has issued a warning online, after a company was found to fraudulently be selling camping bookings for an area which they don’t have access to.

The company, going by the name of ‘Evolution Camping Accommodation’ reportedly took a number of camping bookings for the TT 2019 fortnight. Police have identified a number of customers and are working with the Isle of Man tourist board to alert them.

According to commenters on the post, this isn’t the first time that the company has ripped TT fans off.

One user, going by the name of Robo Robo, commented: “They ripped me and my 74 year old dad off last year and we are still waiting for the tourists board to get back to us

And Colin Hegarty replied: “Same thing happened to me and my wife who has disabilities last year and like yourself still waiting for tourist board to get back to us.

Police are requesting for anyone who has made a booking through the company for accommodation during TT 2019 or beyond, to get in touch by calling CID on 01624 631301.
