Triumph Tiger 800XC 6th gear roll-on

So how does the Tiger 800XC perform in 6th gear from 25mph?

Triumph Tiger 800XC 6th gear roll-on

TRIUMPH SEEMED pretty confident of their new 800 engine. During the press presentation, they boasted that it was easily capable of a smooth roll-on in top gear (6th) from 25mph. So I decided to check it out.

The video starts with me doing a U-turn then pulling the clutch in and changing up to 6th, then rolling in 6th to get to 25mph. Then you can see me open the throttle and take the Tiger 800XC up to 100mph. Although fairly slow to get going as you would expect, there was no labouring of the engine. The fuelling and low-down torque characteristics of this engine make light work of even this challenging test.
